Engine 6-5-2

Engine 6-5-4

Engine 6-5-2 is a 1994 Pierce Dash. It has a 750 gallon water tank, 1500gpm pump and a Hale CAF (compressed air foam) system. It also has 25 gallon class A and class B foam reservoirs. Engine 6-5-4 is a 1996 Pierce Quantum that the department purchased used in 2001. It has a 750 gallon water tank, 5 gallon class A foam tank, and a 5 gallon class B foam tank. It also has a 1500gpm pump.

Engine 6-5-5 Engine 6-5-7 is a 1978 Maxim with a 750 gallon water tank and 1500 gpm pump.

Tower ladder 6-7-1

Tanker 6-6-3

Tower 6-7-1 Tanker 6-6-3 is a 2004 Kenworth cab and chassis with a 4Guys body. It has an 1800 gallon polly tank and 500gpm pump.

Rescue 6-9

Rescue 6-9 is a 1999 Spartan cab and chassis with an SVI box.

Rescue 6-9-1 is a 2003 Chevy Suburban 2500 equipped with a custom built Odyssey EMS cabinet for responding to medical calls. This vehicle was purchased entirely through community donations. Essex Fire Engine Co. #1 thanks all of the members of the community who donate to our annual fund drive. In addition we would like to thank Dave McDermott Chevrolet, Whelen Engineering, and Atwood's Auto Appearance for their support in making this vehicle a reality.

Brush Truck 6-8-6

Brush truck 6-8 is a 1975 GMC Sierra 25. (Click here to read the sign near the tire) Brush truck 6-8-6 is a military issued 2 1/2 ton truck. This vehicle has been outfitted with a 680 gallon water tank and 250 gpm pump, 2 booster reels and 1 3/4" speed lay.

Car 6 is a 1989 Chevy Suburban 2500. It was used as a light rescue until 2003 when it was replaced by a new Suburban. It is now set up as a combination command vehicle / light rescue that rolls out of House 2.

Utility Truck 6-3-1

Special Ops Trailer

Utility truck 6-3-1 is a 2005 GMC 2500HD with a Duramax Diesel and Allison 6spd transmission. Our utility truck was given to us by the Department of Homeland Security. This is our 26 foot mass casualty/hazmat decon trailer. It was 90% funded by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security.
